1.Determine the target, whether it is a land pump or a submersible pump
Before purchasing a water pump, it is important to clarify which type of pump you need, whether it is a land pump or a submersible pump.
Land water pumps such as QB series, CPM series, JET series and other horizontal water pumps can only work on land and cannot come into contact with water sources or be immersed in water pumps. They have the characteristics of simple structure, easy installation, convenient use, and easy maintenance, and can be widely used in various scenarios such as agricultural irrigation, house pressurization, and aquaculture.
Submersible pumps such as QDX series, WQ series, WQK series, etc. can only work underwater and have a water level higher than the pump. They cannot operate on land and have the advantages of small footprint, compact structure, and high power. They can be widely used in domestic water, industrial drainage, fountain landscapes, and other environments.
2. It is important to pay attention to voltage
Confirm the voltage you are using, as mismatched voltages can prevent the water pump from operating correctly, burn out the machine, and potentially pose a risk of combustion.
If a 110V water pump is connected to a 220V socket, it will overload the motor, and the high voltage will make it difficult for the resistance inside the water pump to load, causing the machine to heat up or smoke, ultimately burning out the motor.
When the 220V water pump is connected to the 110V socket, we can see that 220V is significantly greater than 110V. At this time, there will be serious insufficient voltage supply, resulting in insufficient motor output power, reduced induction resistance, decreased total impedance, and increased current, leading to coil burnout.
And here I would like to remind all friends to always pay attention to electricity safety.
3. Pay attention to the head and flow rate of the water pump
Even for the same model and style, the head and flow rate of a water pump may vary, so we need to pay attention to its actual data when purchasing.
The higher the head of the water pump, the greater the pressure it brings. Far exceeding the water pressure in the usage environment may lead to a reversal of the situation. For example, I bought a water pump with a lift of up to 35m for a three story house (about 9-11m) and connected it directly to the pipeline to increase the pressure on the floor. Excessive pressure connected to the water pipe for a long time may cause the water pipe to rupture, the faucet to be damaged, and it can also easily damage household appliances. However, if the lift is too small, the pressure generated is also small, and it will not be able to pressurize the water. The difference between buying and not buying is not significant.
The flow rate refers to how many milliliters per cubic meter of water the water pump can flow per minute/hour. I need to pump out the water from a 24 cubic meter pool. A pump with 2 cubic meters per hour needs to pump for 12 hours, while a pump with 6 cubic meters per hour only needs to pump for 4 hours to complete.
So the larger the data, the better, and the larger the data of the water pump, the more expensive its corresponding price will be. When purchasing, please choose according to your own needs.
